This is real money and you can lose it
Bets are placed in ETH on Robinhood Chain. If the card finishes on the other side of where the round opened, your stake goes to the people who were right. There is no insurance, no reversal and no support desk that can undo a transaction.
Positions cannot be closed early
Once placed, a bet stays until its round settles. There is nobody to sell it back to — money sits in one pool per side rather than in tradable shares. Betting also closes shortly before expiry so nobody can bet already knowing the result.
Where prices come from, and their limits
A card’s price is built from completed sales of that card at that grade on Courtyard. It is real, and you can check it. It is also sparse: a card sells a handful of times a day, so a price can sit still for hours and a round can settle on relatively few sales.
Settlement is reported by a keeper we operate, reading that price feed. If a round opens before the price history covers it, there is no honest opening level and the contract refunds every bet instead of picking a winner.
Fees, draws and refunds
The protocol takes 2% of the total pool on a round that produces a winner, capped in the contract at 5% and unable to be raised past it. Draws and one-sided rounds refund everyone in full and are charged nothing. If a round is never settled, anyone at all can force it to refund 24 hours after expiry — that is enforced by the contract, not promised by us.
No warranty
This is software provided as-is. It can have bugs, the price feed can be wrong or delayed, and the chain can be congested or go down. Use it only with money you are willing to lose entirely.
